Kristin M. Jones

President and CEO, Indiana Life Sciences Association

Kristin M. Jones serves as President and CEO of the Indiana Life Sciences Association, formerly the Indiana Health Industry Forum. Since her appointment in December 2009, she has led the organization in its mission to support Indiana’s life sciences sector. Under her leadership, the association has grown to represent nearly 250 member companies and has become a key resource for advocacy,  networking, and strategic planning within the industry. Prior to this role, she served as the Forum’s Vice President for two and a half years.

Before joining the association, Kristin was Director of Business Development for Life Sciences and International Affairs at The Indy Partnership, a regional economic development group covering 11 counties in central Indiana. There, she promoted the region to life sciences companies and collaborated closely with the BioCrossroads initiative.

Kristin also spent nearly a decade with the Indiana Department of Commerce. As Director of the Office of International Trade, she managed the state’s export assistance programs and oversaw a network of 14 international offices. Earlier in her tenure, she worked as an attraction project manager in the Business Development Division.

She currently serves on several advisory boards, including the Indiana District Export Council (DEC), the Indiana Small Business Development Centers Network, Heartland Bioworks, Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington Biotechnology Program, Valkit.Ai, and Incubate. She is also a past chair of the Council of State Bioscience Associations (CSBA).

Kristin’s contributions have earned her numerous honors, including the Sagamore of the Wabash, one of Indiana’s highest civilian awards. She was also selected for the prestigious European Union Visitors Programme, which introduces emerging international leaders to EU institutions and policies.

Originally from London, Ontario, Canada, Kristin holds a B.A. in French and a Master of Public Affairs, both from Indiana University in Bloomington.
